Online portal offers critical water information on San Pedro Basin

A Web-based Hydrologic Information Portal (WHIP) is now live after six years of work by the agencies in the Upper San Pedro Partnership to gather data from decades of work on the Upper San Pedro Basin. The WHIP, which was designed to serve as a resource for water managers, decision makers, researchers, and the public, provides near real-time information about data related to the Upper San Pedro Basin’s complex hydrology. The mission of the Cochise Conservation & Recharge Network (CCRN) is to implement a regional network of land and water management projects that result in a healthy watershed, flowing San Pedro River, conservation of water resources, and a vibrant local economy.

Member Organizations

The CCRN was formed in 2015. The members are Cochise County, the City of Sierra Vista, The Nature Conservancy, Hereford Natural Resources Conservation District, the City of Bisbee, Fort Huachuca, and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.
